3. You can’t return to god on your own terms.
Man has tried repeatedly to gain eternal life by all types of means. He tried physical means & built a tower (Genesis 11: 1-9). Since then he has tried self-righteous means, good works, being better than other people, keeping a law, saving face, being religious & many, many more methods of his own invention. The Apostle Paul tells us that “eternal life is ‘not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2: 9) And again he says it is: “not on the basis of deeds which we have done in [self] righteousness, ” (Titus 3: 5).
4. God has made the way for anyone & everyone to come to Him.
What man could not do, God has already done in Jesus Christ!
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;”( Ephesians 2:9).
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“He Himself bore our sins ln His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to fighteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”1Peter 2: 25).
