5. Knowing this is not enough – we must do something about it

“Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;” (Acts 3: 19)

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John1: 12, 13)

So, it’s not just a matter of believing the facts spoken about above but you need to repent & receive Jesus into your life & be born of God.

6. How do we do this?

First: acknowledge your sin before God. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ” (1John 1: 9) Next: Turn away from your sin: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3: 2) Then: Receive Jesus. In prayer, ‘open the door of your heart,’ ask Jesus to come into your life & He will do it. (Revelation 3: 20) Now: Tell others. “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, l will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32) You can do this in a Church meeting, & when you are baptized or among people at any time, anywhere.

“And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” – 1 John 5: 11 – 13.
